# Backing starts with smaller inputs

Expectation: everything is packed, settled, and working exactly as planned.

Reality: the campground arrival has other ideas. Most backing trouble begins when the steering correction is larger than the trailer needs. A little patience and a quick “place a hand at the bottom of the wheel” usually restore order.

Backing up takes patience, small steering corrections make such a difference.
