Relatable truth: A part that feels exciting for ten minutes still has to work in traffic, parking lots, rain, and routine maintenance. Somehow this becomes obvious during the first mock-up, usually five minutes after everyone said the plan was perfectly under control.

Exactly! A part might look great in the garage, but if it makes parking, rain, or routine maintenance harder, it’s probably worth reconsidering.
