Why A Crash-Rated Harness Matters
An unrestrained pet can be seriously injured — or injure a passenger — during a sudden stop. A properly fitted harness that clips into the seatbelt keeps everyone safer and prevents pets from climbing into the driver’s lap while you’re on the road.
- Look for a harness that has been independently crash-tested.
- Fit should allow two fingers of space, not more.
- Avoid neck-only leashes as a primary restraint; they don’t distribute crash force safely.
Our golden has now figured out how to unclick the seatbelt anchoring the harness. We have resorted to using electrical tape to cover the button. Any better ideas are helpful!
