The day started with a confident “we have this.” Then came the first rest stop. A carrier that slides or rocks can make an already uncertain pet more anxious. A quick reset - place a nonslip mat beneath the carrier, then buckle or anchor it according to its instructions - turned it back into a good story instead of a long afternoon.
