Never Leave Pets In A Hot Car

Never Leave Pets In A Hot Car

Even on a mild 70°F day, the inside of a parked car can climb past 100°F in just minutes. Cracking a window does very little to slow this down. If you can’t bring your pet inside with you, it’s safer to leave them at home.

● Run errands that require leaving pets behind before you pick them up.

● Use a dash thermometer or app to check ambient temps on warm days.

If you see a pet in distress in a hot car, contact local authorities immediately.

This is good guidance because even in what some may consider milder weather, the heat build up in a car can still be very dangerous. Of course our dog is one of the family and always wants to go with us vs being left behind in any case.
